YKK Manufactures Products for COVID-19 Relief
YKK companies in EMEA have taken an innovative approach to the ongoing challenges being presented to them during the Covid-19 crisis
YKK are currently producing essential fastening products to help support the fight against Covid-19, these include isolation/containment units, medical equipment including surgical masks, mattress protection as well as PPE (personal protective equipment) protection and ventilator components
YKK are also hoping hopes to work with their partners to find inventive their fastening products can be used.
At the same time, YKK companies are taking many steps to ensure the safety of their employees as they remain at work to fulfil these critical orders. Each company has put strict restrictions on travel, many have prohibited non-essential visitors to its plants, and are encouraging teleconferencing, and continue to reinforce safe behaviour in their plants, such as handwashing, social distancing and disinfecting.
The company is also emphasizing frequent and transparent communication with employees, customers, and local communities in its various localities.

Dear valued customers, business partners and suppliers,
We want to thank you for your patience during this very challenging situation and provide you with an update on our commitment to you, as well as to our employees and our communities.
While some of our locations are closed in compliance with local government policies to control the spread of COVID-19, many of our sales and customer service representatives in 72 countries/regions around the world are ready to serve you from their home offices.
Additionally, some locations remain open in order to assist our valued partners in the medical community with key fastening components for medical devices, personal protective equipment (PPE), hospital bed covers, tent shelters, oxygen (ventilator) hoods, and many other equipment and supplies. Our fastening products, including zippers, hook & loop, injection molded plastic parts, webbing, and snap & buttons, can be found in numerous medical products and equipment used in healthcare facilities around the world. We have several fastening options, including fabricated hook & loop straps and cord locks, to support those producing face masks and face shields for our healthcare providers.
The locations that remain open do so with the utmost caution for the health and wellbeing of the employees in those locations as well as the surrounding communities.
