Remodeling a Pediatric Neurosurgery and Orthopedic Unit in Honduras

In 2015, YKK Honduras decided to remodel the Pediatric Neurosurgery and Orthopedic unit of Hospital Mario Calarino Rivas after they were contacted by Dr. Mario Sabillon about contributing to this project. The project involved remodeling six units of the Neurosurgery Pediatric unit, which included: changing the ceilings, floors and walls; painting; and fixing electrical connections and air conditioners. Hundreds of children in Honduras with spina bifida and hydrocephalus come to this hospital looking for quality medical care. This remodeled unit will help them to have a better quality of life and a brighter future.
